There are environmental compliance issues in automotive detailing, but how much does all this really help the environment. In the auto detailing industry we know we must comply and do with these regulations, yet often one has to ask them selves, why are we really doing this? Sometimes one has to think that much of these are not as much about the environment as much as from competitors who use the environment and government as a way to attack the mobile car washes and detailers from taking their business. Some mobile auto detailers think the carwash owners need to do better work and stop pointing fingers. Meanwhile some legitimate rules on the environment do make sense.

A little ssoap is good for the environment, but we are not allowed to let soap run into a storm drain. While it is true that there are harsh chemicals and detergents that are currently used by industry and homeowners that should never be allowed free to run into our ecosystem, most basic soap won?t hurt anything. As a matter of fact, they actually help break down other unwanted contaminants so they can be further filtered by mother earth?s soil and diluted by her abundant water. Most mobile auto detailer?s soaps are perfectly harmless. Unfortunately, no matter how good or biodegradable these soaps are, the law reads nothing but ?domestic potable water? goes into the storm drains.

Vectra Spares
My father is really keen on cars and at the moment he owns a Vectra. He has got a friend who deals in Vectra Sparesand they are always in cahoots together taking about and tinkering with their cars. My motther is very tolerant of his hobby and she just lets him get on with it for the main part as he is a good husband to her in so many ways. However, the other day there was an incident that really got my mother angry. She came home from her job as a nurse which is really stressful and the drive was just full of Vectra Spares. The place looked such a mess and there was no way she could get her car on the drive at all. When she spoke to my father about it, he added insult to injury by saying he would remove them but they were still there the next morning when she awoke. This was when my mother gave vent to her anger and she really shouted at him, telling him how inconsiderate he was. My father was shocked at her outburst but it really did the trick and he moved everything immediately. Not only that, he bought her a present and took her out to dinner that weekend to make up for it. Thank goodness that harmony is now restored at home

Intensive Driving Course
If I had to learn how to drive again I wouldn`t take weekly lessons. Don`t get me wrong, my instructor was brilliant and he got me through my test at the first time of asking but the whole process took about 6 months in total. I was ready for the practical test after 8 lessons but a backlog of test dates meant that I had to wait ages for the big day to come around. In the end I started having lessons every fortnight because it would have been a complete waste of money taking them every single week. In hindsight I should have booked myself onto an Intensive Driving Course. This way, I could have been at test standard in just a week and I would have passed my test far sooner. Pupils can expect a high level of instruction on an Intensive Driving Course and because of the amount of driving that is involved, they`ll soon broaden their driving skills. I shouldn`t moan really because 6 months isn`t a great deal of time in the grand scale of things. Still, had I booked on an Intensive Driving Course I could have passed my driving test a week after my 17th birthday.
